ECIS welcomes Commission Decision finding
Microsoft infringed Article 82
The European Commission has issued a Decision finding that Microsoft
Corporation infringed European Union competition law by leveraging
its near monopoly in the market for PC operating systems (OS) onto
the markets for work group server operating systems by refusing to
make available interface information and on the market for media players
by tying Windows Media Player with the Windows PC OS. ECIS welcomes
the Commission's Decision, which restores competition on the merits
and furthers true consumer choice. |
