On 28 November, the European Committee for Interoperable Systems (ECIS) will host its annual event, focusing this year on the critical role of cloud interoperability in building a robust generative AI market for Europe.

Join the discussion organised by the European Committee for Interoperable Systems in cooperation with MLex, which examines questions, such as:

  • How should AI be regulated so as to not stifle innovation?
  • How can open standards and the resulting interoperability foster AI while limiting negative externalities, and which standards are needed?
  • What role can existing regulatory frameworks in the EU (DMA, Data Act) play in an open, interoperable landscape?

Speakers will include:

Luca Bertuzzi, Senior AI Correspondent at MLex – Moderator
Miguel Valle del Olmo, Digital Transformation Attaché at the Permanent Representation of Spain to the EU
Dr. Alea Fairchild, Research Fellow at The Constantia Institute
Jean-Marc Leclerc, Director EU Affairs, Government and Regulatory Affairs at IBM
Matthias Bauer, Director at the European Centre for International Political Economy (ECIPE) [TBC]
